Fostered  Life Insurance

Privacy Policy

A Legal Disclaimer

Who we are. Fostered Life Insurance, a Independent Brokerage doing business as (“we,” “us,” “our”), operates fosteredlifeinsurance.com (the “Site”). We are an independent life-insurance brokerage. We compare 63 A-rated life insurers to help you find coverage. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use/share it, and the choices you have.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.

Information we collect

You give us (online and by phone):

  • Contact details (name, phone, email) and your message.

  • Application details (date of birth, address, height/weight, health & lifestyle info, family history, tobacco, occupation/avocations, beneficiary details, coverage preferences).

  • Sensitive personal information (“SPI”) needed to submit applications on carrier systems, including Social Security Number and, where required, government ID numbers.

  • E-signatures and call recordings (where permitted) if you consent.

Automatic: IP address, device/browser, pages visited, timestamps, and cookies/analytics (see §7).

From others (with required consents/where lawful): Consumer-report data for underwriting (e.g., MVRs, prescription history databases, credit-based insurance scores) requested by a carrier or its vendors per disclosures you review and sign.

How we use information

  • Contact you (calls/texts/email), verify details, answer questions.

  • Compare carriers/products; prepare and transmit applications to your chosen carrier.

  • Verify identity (incl. using SSN/gov ID) and prevent fraud/abuse.

  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site (analytics, debugging).

  • Comply with insurance/anti-fraud/recordkeeping laws and our contracts.

  • Send service/transactional communications (and marketing if you opt in).

Consent to be contacted (calls, texts, email)

By submitting your information, you expressly consent to be contacted by us and/or our licensed agents at the phone and email you provide, including by autodialed/prerecorded calls and texts (SMS/MMS), even if you are on a Do-Not-Call list. Msg/data rates may apply. Opt out: reply STOP to texts; tell us on a call. Consent is not required to buy.

When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share only:

  • At your direction with the carrier you choose (and its affiliates/underwriters, reinsurers, paramedical vendors, and authorized TPAs) to evaluate, underwrite, and issue a policy. This may include SPI (e.g., SSN) where required.

  • Service providers (hosting, CRM, e-signature, call/SMS, form tools, analytics, security, document delivery) under contract to process data solely for us.

  • Regulatory/legal recipients when required or permitted by law.

  • Business transfers (e.g., merger) where the successor must honor this Policy.

Payments (pass-through only)

We may collect payment details by phone solely to place a first premium with your chosen carrier. Payments are processed directly by the carrier or its processor.

  • What we collect: cardholder name, card type, last four digits, expiration date and/or bank routing/account for ACH. We do not request or store CVV/CVC after authorization.

  • Use/Sharing: to transmit your payment authorization/details to the carrier and for fraud prevention and recordkeeping. We do not sell payment info.

  • Security: PCI-aligned practices; encryption in transit; access controls; we pause or redact call recordings while you state payment details. Do not email card/bank info.

  • Retention: we do not store full card or bank numbers; we retain only limited metadata (e.g., last four, amount, date, authorization ID) for up to 7 years to meet insurance/financial recordkeeping.

How carriers may use your information

Once you authorize submission, carriers may use your information to underwrite in line with the disclosures you review and sign (which may authorize obtaining consumer reports, prescription histories, MVRs, or medical records where permitted). Carrier privacy practices are governed by their notices.

Data retention

We retain information, including SPI, only as long as needed for quoting/application, policy servicing (if applicable), compliance, disputes, and required insurance recordkeeping—generally up to 7 years after your last interaction or as law requires.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar tech for Site operation, preference management, and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser; blocking may affect features. We do not respond to Do-Not-Track signals.

Call recording, e-sign & transmission of SPI

Calls may be monitored/recorded where permitted. We may use e-signatures for forms. We collect SPI by phone or secure forms, and may mask/tokenize or restrict internal access.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., encryption in transit/at rest where feasible, least-privilege access, audit logging, employee confidentiality). No system is 100% secure.
